Content & Emails

One of VShift's biggest frustrations with campaigns we come across is how rarely web content is actually written for the web.

Campaign consultants, please note:  The website is not a dumping ground for your direct mail. Email blasting is not just another way to send an event invite.

Writing for the web and email is an entirely different experience, both from a content and technology perspective.

First, content for the web needs to be timely and pointed and creative; it also needs to be well integrated into the site development process. It requires understanding of how to structure web "navitorial" so that users are clear on how to move around the site and what to expect on each page.

Secondly, when you're writing for the web, you're not only writing for the user: you're also writing for search engines, which takes a talent and a skill all its own.  If you want your site, your service, or your message to come up when someone Googles you, you'd better know how Google works and how to write for it.

Fortunately, VShift does.

VShfit's creative team includes professional writers and designers to help with drafting content that is appropriate for the web, engaging in emails, and optimized for search engines.

So, how do we know we know we're good at writing for the web?  Well, you're reading this at the bottom of the page right now aren't you?
